"The scriptures make the danger of delay clear. It is that we may discover that we have run out of time. The God who gives us each day as a treasure will require an accounting. We will weep, and He will weep, if we have intended to repent and to serve Him in tomorrows which never came or have dreamt of yesterdays where the opportunity to act was past. This day is a precious gift of God. The thought "Someday I will" can be a thief of the opportunities of time and the blessings of eternity."

Do not delay
There will be weeping & wailing & gnashing of teeth if we subscribe to the Scarlett O'Hara Syndrome & procrastinate.

Not this day
We've talked about the Scarlett O'Hara Syndrome here & here. In fact one of those entries is where this quote came from.
"There is a danger in the word someday when what it means is "not this day."Willl "someday" ever come???
"Someday I will repent."
"Someday I will forgive him."
"Someday I will speak to my friend about the Church."
"Someday I will start to pay tithing."
"Someday I will return to the temple."
"Someday."--Henry B. Eyring, "This Day", Ensign, May 2007, 89–91

Someday ...
I could easily have named this entry "Scarlett O'Hara Syndrome," but I didn't
"There is a danger in the word someday when what it means is “not this day.”...The scriptures make the danger of delay clear. The thought “Someday I will” can be a thief of the opportunities of time and the blessings of eternity."If we delay or procrastinate, we get what we get, not what we necessarily wanted.
--Henry B. Eyring, "This Day", Ensign, May 2007, 89–91
"The axiom 'You get what you pay for' is true for spiritual rewards as well. You get what you pay for in obedience, in faith in Jesus Christ, in diligent application of the truths that you learn."Do it now.
--Richard G. Scott, "The Sustaining Power of Faith in Times of Uncertainty and Testing", Ensign, May 2003, 75

Today is the day ...
not tomorrow. It can be very easy to get caught in the daily procrastination of the Scarlett O'Hara Syndrome or I'll think about it tomorrow.
While there is nothing you can do now about yesterday, and tomorrow is always one day into the future, you have full control over today. From CollegeGrad.comI like Elder Wirthlin's choices.
"Tomorrow's joy or tomorrow's despair has its roots in decisions we make today. Perhaps some people think to themselves: 'I know I need to change some things in my life. Maybe later, but not now.' Those who stand at the threshold of life always waiting for the right time to change are like the man who stands at the bank of a river waiting for the water to pass so he can cross on dry land. Today is the day of decision."And another telling us to make daily efforts to strive to be more like God.
--Joseph B. Wirthlin, "Three Choices," Ensign, Nov. 2003, 78
"We must not lose hope. Hope is an anchor to the souls of men. Satan would have us cast away that anchor. In this way he can bring discouragement and surrender. But we must not lose hope. The Lord is pleased with every effort, even the tiny, daily ones in which we strive to be more like Him. Though we may see that we have far to go on the road to perfection, we must not give up hope."
--Ezra Taft Benson, "A Mighty Change of Heart," Ensign, Oct. 1989, 2
