Both of the quotes tonight are repeats. President Tanner's quote wasn't hard to find, it's the only one on the whole blog by him. "One of God's greatest gifts to man is freedom of choice," found here.
President Monson's name is the largest in the cloud, must be because there are more quotes by him than any one else. It also addresses choice & can be found here. "If we make the wrong choice, we have no one to blame but ourselves."

Choice
Just as freedom isn't free, choice isn't free either. We have the opportunity to make choices.
"No temptation, no pressure, no enticing can overcome us unless we allow such. If we make the wrong choice, we have no one to blame but ourselves. President Brigham Young once expressed this truth by relating it to himself. Said he: "If Brother Brigham shall take a wrong track, and be shut out of the Kingdom of heaven, no person will be to blame but Brother Brigham. I am the only being in heaven, earth, or hell, that can be blamed." He continued: "This will equally apply to every Latter-day Saint. Salvation is an individual operation."President Henry B.
